Why Dual Extraction Matters
When a person consumes a mushroom powder, they are only absorbing the water soluable compounds, leaving behind a lot of good stuff. (many times missing out on what the label promised them in the first place) The remaining compounds are alcohol soluable and must be extracted with alcohol or glycerin. We use organic alcohol as it extracts better than glycerin for a more potent final product. Basidia Farms performs both water extraction AND alcohol extraction (Dual Extraction) to create a super potent final product.

About the owner
Hello, my name is Cory, founder of Basidia Farms.
After leaving the U.S. Army, I earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Cybersecurity and began building a career in the field. While I enjoyed the work, I eventually realized that I was happiest when I was creating something tangible with my own hands. I've always been an artist at heart.
What started as a simple mushroom grow kit quickly became a passion. The more I learned about fungi, cultivation, and sustainable agriculture, the more I felt drawn to it. One day, it became clear to me: I would be happier growing food and building something meaningful than spending my life behind a computer screen.
That realization led to the creation of Basidia Farms.
From the beginning, I knew our farm would be certified organic. I've always believed that people deserve food grown without unnecessary chemicals, shortcuts, or compromises. If I was going to pursue this dream, I was going to do it the right way.
Leaving a stable career to start an organic mushroom farm was one of the most challenging decisions I've ever made, but it has also been the most rewarding. Every mushroom we grow reflects the same values that inspired me to start this journey: quality, integrity, and a genuine passion for what we do.
